Go Nature: Hort Park, Kent Ridge, Vivocity, Fireworks!

28TH APRIL 2012 SATURDAY

Preparing for the long day! When we get too bored of the shopping centres, cafes, coffeeshops here in Singapore. Going out in the nature is the next best thing to do. No need to spend money (except for maybe buying drinks), can excercise (lose weight - if you do it often)! Why not?

Less than 10 minutes difference!

I do not have to say more, the following pictures will be all GREEN! :D

A very cool restaurant (with indoor & outdoor seatings) but we didn't dine there as the sun is scorching hot, no mood to eat anything yet!

Toilet break - hair all messy, body sticky. Eeeks!
Me had Pocari Sweat to replenish the water I had lost.

Heard of Gardens by the Bay? The new park right opposite Marina Bay Sands - Opening on 29th June 2012! Excited because it seems like a very pretty place! Apparently, the office for Gardens by the Bay is in Hort Park? I saw an office there, and I took some pictures of the 3D drawings/plans.

Too pretty! Can't wait to go!

Kent Ridge Park!

Was famished & took a break before heading to some air-conditioned heaven! :p
My favourite duck rice! I could eat 3 bowls of rice with the meat.
Blogging this, makes me too hungry again!
Ice Ai-Yu!
Reached Vivocity! Headed to Starbucks for some drinks before doing some shopping.

Freshen up in the Ladies!
A new shop in Vivocity - Squirrel Bites!
I tried to google about this but found nothing except remedies on treating squirrels' bites and gross pictures of the painful bites :X

Squirrel Bites is Food Junction’s latest concept, which offers food-on-the-go.
Basically it sells 2 types of food:
1) A crispy pastry/bread/dough (Summer Bites - flavours below) with either sweet or savoury toppings.

We had the one with sugar, cinnamon and a tinge of lemon juice! Very nice, crispy. The cinnamon taste is not too light or strong, just nice. The sweetness & sourish is a good match.
2) Flavoured shaved ice (Ice Bites) with fruits as its toppings.
We had this milk shaved ice with lychee, rice crisps cereals. I would say the shaved ice did have some milky taste but too bland for me.

We eat as we walked to Sentosa Broadwalk to catch the fireworks!

I was trying out another layout and all my pictures & words had gone haywire :(
