Pardon me, I took a long time to post this. :P
Can't wait to show you the yummy food I had here at Seasons Bistro!

 photo file_zpse82c5385.jpg

Initially there was a little bit of hiccups here and there, no drinks menu were presented to us, nonetheless everything turned out fine and taken care of. Many thanks to the friendly boss, Thomas! I need to go back for their brunch, must find time to go back soon!

Starters - Pan Seared Foie Gras S$16

No, its not a dessert. WHY DESSERT?

See whats in this awesome dish! Pain de mie, chocolate ganache, bacon jam, caramelised bananas and granola crumbs. Nice & special!

 photo file_zpsd91e5113.jpg

Salad - Grilled Portobello Salad S$16

St Maure Terroir, tomatoes, beans, candied walnuts, pickled onions, bacon crisp and red wine vinaigrette. We love the candied walnuts, they added a pleasant sweet crunch to the salad.

 photo file_zpse5563c1b.jpg

Thomas offered us Innocent Bystander Moscato S$35/S$65.

Girlfriend & I love this!!

 photo file_zps9f3b5a34.jpg

 photo file_zps2ae3a419.jpg

Mains - Seared Albacore Tuna S$26 is when East meets West, consisting asian pear, avocado, jicama, watermelon with chipotle mojo and salsa verde.

Medium well was perfect and the girlfriend loves this so much!

 photo file_zpsf81209b0.jpg

I chose Mains - Surf & Turf Gumbo S$27.

A warm plate of soul food goodness. Wait till you see whats inside, shrimp, chicken, sausage, okra tomato stew with dirty rice, pickled onion, cilantro, chow chow relish & french bean salad.

If you catch the words ''dirty rice''. I bet you are as curious as me, its a traditional cajun dish made form white rice which gets a ''dirty'' colour from being cooked with cayenne pepper, veggies and bits of sausage. If you love this so much, good news, Dirty Rice is one of the side dishes that you can order.

 photo file_zps643b3c31.jpg

 photo file_zps1fde6fdd.jpg

200gm Harris Ranch Angus Striploin S$32 is char grilled USDA striploin, roasted thyme potatoes, beans, homemade beef jus and bacon marmalade.

 photo file_zpsa9b5d034.jpg

Mains - St Louis Styled BBQ Pork Ribs S$28

Slow roasted spare ribs with stuffed baked potato, BBQ Sauce and summer coleslaw. We find this too tough for our liking.

 photo file_zps4d4d3930.jpg

Then Thomas came and said he will get the kitchen to prepare something special for us…

Here comes the Mains - Beef Wellington S$29, brand beef all natal family reserve flat iron wrapped with parma ham, st maure terroir goat cheese and sundered tomatoes, served with summer veggies and homemade jus.

I am so so happy that they got this into their menu now because it is so good, you got to try it yourself.

 photo file_zps36a77f09.jpg

Resting on a bed of beef gravy and summer veggies, this piece of beef looking really tempting.

 photo file_zps42dd02b4.jpg

Another special dish that Thomas got his kitchen to prepare.

Savoury Crab Bread Pudding S$16 - baked Sri Lanka crab meat with horseradish creme.

This is so soft & fluffy and with generous serving of crab meat. WOWWWW.

I actually have a Season's Poutine S$10 which is fries with homemade gravy & cheese and Season's Hot Wings S$12 served with blue dip, mango & Passion fruit catsup and veggie crudités. But I lost the pictures BOOHOO!

You may go to #princessviviluvseasonsbistro in Instagram to view the picture (haha sorry, very ''helpful'')

Anyway, the fries & hot wings were so good, we could not stop munching although 4 of us were so stuffed with all the food.

 photo file_zpsdec8cfe5.jpg

Season's Red Velvet Cheesecake S$10 is the best of both cake in one serving!

 photo file_zpsec31ab33.jpg

Season's Carrot Cake S$12 is so good, one of the best carrot cakes around! Generous nuts in the cake. Totally worth the money!

 photo file_zpsa50e0f22.jpg

This was not in the menu, so we asked the poor waitress to repeat twice.

It should be Mixed Berries Crumble topped with Mixed Berries Ice Cream with Blackberry Sauce.

We find that the Mixed Berries Ice Cream taste more like Red Velvet Ice Cream with Oreo bits, so we get her to repeat the dish again, she confirmed that it is Mixed Berries Ice Cream.

Whatever it is, it is so good! Imagine a Red Velvet-like Ice Cream topped on a warm buttery berry crumble. Perfect to end the night.

 photo file_zpsa82b1787.jpg

Mojito Tart S$12 - toasted coconut tart with mint lime curd & rum cream. Refreshingly sour, very comforting for our taste buds after eating so much.

Thank you Seasons Bistro for having me & my 3 guests. We have lots of fun over awesome food! Thank you for making our Friday night enjoyable!

In addition to Suki Group's existing 8 different concepts Japanese Restaurant, Momiji Shabu Shabu opened its doors on 30th July 2014!

 photo file_zps9df7cab4.jpg

Momiji Shabu Shabu presents Singapore's 1st and only collagen hotpot buffet, how cool is that! As we know, collagen don't come cheap, to have them in buffet style is even more unbelievable. Wait, thats not all… … …

 photo file_zpsb4fb3548.jpg

Look at the prices! The are wallet-friendly too! It ranges from S$19.90++ to S$28.90++.

The first question I asked was, ''is the collagen soup (refill) free flow?'' ABSOLUTELY FREE! You may go all out, and enjoy the soup without worrying that you have to save your soup for some more ingredients or worry that you might drink up all the soup in the pot and need to top up additional $$ for the soup.

My friend & I once had this worry when we were to some hotpot restaurant (not buffet style), trying to scrimp and save on the soup because refills come at a price. Heehee…

Now we found the perfect place for us!

The Place/Ambience

 photo file_zpsfecb63d2.jpg

 photo file_zps60926273.jpg

Clean & spacious restaurant, and the place is huge!

On our table

 photo file_zps4fffa7f0.jpg

A table of 6 of us, had 2 pots of collagen soup, nom nom, the collagen is calling out to me as we waited for our fun-loving dining companions.

 photo file_zpsefe8c5c1.jpg

The divine soup base is made of collagen pudding, which is the culmination of 6 hours of simmering kampong chicken. Such long hours of simmering ensures that the chicken bones are fully dissolved - every bit of goodness goes into the broth.

Fresh vegetables are also added to lend even more nutrition and flavours. The broth is then cooled, solidifying into a silky smooth pudding that brims with collagen.

FYI, if you are curious of how it taste like, it is actually light and not salty at all. Not to worry, please read on. :D

 photo file_zpsfdc424de.jpg

There were 3 condiments on the table (sorry, I forgotten to snap a picture for you), they are the Himalayan Pink Salt, Collagen Shoyu and Hot Kimchi Paste.

Himalayan Pink Salt (above) is a natural and pure mineral substance gathered from the Himalayas. For thousands of years, the salt has been used as a natural medicine. Dining at Momiji Shabu Shabu is a hands-on experience: patrons will get to grind the salt themselves to adjust the soup to their own liking. (usually is about 3 dashes of the salt)

The Collagen Shoyu looks like any other type of Shoyu however it is sweeter. Add this into your own individual bowl of soup to enhance the taste.

Same goes for the Hot Kimchi Paste, if you are one who loves spicy soup, add this into your bowl of soup!

Now you can have 3 types of soup in one meal.

 photo file_zps8cc0ab4e.jpg

I was trying to take a picture of my table but suddenly it gets crowded. Even other customers were curious what exactly is happening.

 photo file_zps46e2ff4a.jpg

Errrr, actually nothing much. Just a table of food. Only instagrammers will know. Or maybe bloggers.

So this is our table of food that fed the 6 of us. Before you ask questions like ''take so much, can finish or not????'', fear not, we finished everything and went for 2 more rounds ok?

 photo file_zps7c23d458.jpg

Good food shared among awesome dining companions is the most enjoyable thing to do in the world.

Grab some close pals, go and enjoy!

A tour around the buffet line

 photo file_zps2b842d3f.jpg

The free flow collagen soup comes in liquid instead of jelly, because as the soup in our pot had turned into liquid, we can only add liquid in. These are available on the buffet table, however the friendly staff will still be going round to help you with the refills. *Good service*!
