Was here last CNY, now I am back again! This year's menu was a much simpler one.  5-course set menu S$128 for 3 pax. There is Yusheng, Scallop, Prawn, Duck and Claypot Rice which I have stated the ala-carte prices on each item.

Fu Lin Men marks the 1st Media tasting for 2016 for me, and its a good start because the food is good, the host and service is even better! We almost rock the whole restaurant down.

Seng Choong Confectionery, established in 1965 but ended its business in 1996. 
Chef Daniel Tay did not succeed in expanding his father's business then, and had always regretted. 
Now he is ready to revive the Seng Choong brand in his father's honour, so he founded Old Seng Choong. 

The launch of Old Seng Choong is timed to coincide with the upcoming Lunar New Year. 

If you haven't know, Chef Daniel was a pastry chef at Les Amis, and he founded Bakerzin in 1998, and Cat & the Fiddle in 2013.

Last week, I received a lovely set of Lee Kum Kee sauces, consisting of Premium Brand Oyster Sauce, Premium Light Soya Sauce, XO Sauce (my mum loves this!), and 4 packets of sauces.

Lee Kum Kee is not a unfamiliar brand, since I was young when I used to hang around in my kitchen, seeing my mum whip up dinner, Lee Kum Kee's Oyster Sauce is always beside the stove when she is cooking. Its a brand that we grow old with, 陪伴著我，一起長大。

Hello!! Its back to reality day for me today. Meaning back to work. Oh wells, good times don't last but i am sure good times will be back again!

Because weekend is so long this time, I have so much to post and share, mostly is what I did during this long weekend only. Alright I will take my time to post, now throwback to the eve of CNY!

I was overwhelmed with meetings and work, my mum is busy spring cleaning and preparing for CNY, this time round I was rather disappointed that I did not get to do kueh lapis baking or even tidying my cupboard :X

I am so glad when I received this box of piping hot pies at my door step!

Hello, Happy New Year to you guys! Hope you had a great new year with lots of feasting and those who did not celebrate, hope you had a good and well deserved rest! We are halfway through our holidays, time passed real fast when we are enjoying ourselves. I am back here for a short post before I head out for more feasting!

This table of food was what my family and I had on CNY's eve. We always had steamboat reunion dinner, this year is no diff. Look at the whole table of food prepared by mummy and I brought home some meats from Cold Storage featuring Japanese Kagoshima Wagyu S$18.99/150g. The ultimate meat lovers’ dream, this beef is rich in umami flavour, intoxicating in aroma, and boasts a tender melt-in-your-mouth texture.
